Tom Moyer Named Station Manager for WAVA AM and FM, Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Salem Communications (Nasdaq:SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values, today announced that Tom Moyer has been named station manager of Salem's Washington, D.C. Christian Teaching and Talk stations, 105.1 FM WAVA and AM 780, WAVA.

Moyer was named general sales manager of WAVA in 1992 and as additional stations were added, he continued to serve as general sales manager for the Washington, D.C. cluster. Prior to joining Salem, he was account executive at WABS from 1986 to 1992, and before that he was regional clearance manager with Westwood One/Mutual Broadcasting Network.
He has been working public relations, advertising and radio since 1981, and is a graduate of St Mary’s College in Southern Maryland. Moyer is an RAB certified radio sales manager. Moyer and his wife have five children and are life long residents of the Washington, D.C. area.
